Beverlee Family Cafe’ was formed and opened in 1991. It was originally a 110-seat “home style” restaurant that was located at 116 19th Street North in Bessemer, Alabama until work on a new county courthouse forced it to close at the end of August of 2006. During its 15 year run in Bessemer, Alabama, Bevel Family Cafe’ was known for hearty dishes such as beef tips and rice, turkey and dressing, fried chicken, fried okra, candied yams, cornbread and greens, and many other items.
