In 1999 Grace & Truth Church purchased the old Ollie's BBQ building at 515 University Blvd. The building is still the meeting place of Grace & Truth and is also the home of New Start Ministries, and Kairos Katering. Kairos Kafe began in the early 90's as a coffee shop style ministry from a group connected to Grace & Truth called the "YES" team. After moving into the Ollie's building the ministry found a home, and has grown under the leadership of Nelson Grice, Jeremy Sauder, and Glen Kinnaird. Kairos Kafe serves as a place of open worship for youth and young adults in and around the Birmingham area.
