Lucy’s Coffee and Tea began in 1993 as a coffee cart in front of Tracy’s Cafeteria on 20th Street and University Blvd. It quickly grew and in 1995 we moved to our current location on University Blvd. We’re located at the edge of the UAB campus. The university provides a wonderful customer base, consisting of locals and internationals. You may or may not hear Russian, Spanish, Mandarin and English on your visit. When you come into Lucy’s you’ll experience great art (courtesy of Naked Art Gallery), eclectic furniture and smiling employees. Chances are Lucy herself will fix your coffee. So come on in, pull up a chair and enjoy a great cup of coffee and conversation! You’ll understand why a lot of people call this their home away from home.
