We had a lot of ideas for names. But eventually we returned to our roots and named the restaurant after our fathers (both named Max). This was our way of honoring delicatessen traditions while creating a family oriented atmosphere. At Max's Delicatessen, guests are treated like part of the family, so come see us today! At Max's Delicatessen we strive to achieve the highest level of customer service by making you and your dining experience our top priorities. The moment you walk through our doors you become a part of our family. At Max's we don't cut corners. We take the time to make sure everything is "just what the customer ordered!" We demand the highest quality ingredients from our suppliers and will not compromise on value. We handpick only USDA choice meats to serve. We are so meticulous about what we provide, we even have a personal jobber select all of our meat from Detroit and ship it to our store in Birmingham. We hand slice our fish in the European tradition, ensuring its silkiness and gorgeous texture.
