George Bush Intercontinental Airport IAH is the main airport serving the Houston, Texas metropolitan area.  Approximately 23 miles north of the Houston city center IAH airport is the 10th busiest airport in the United States. It is one of the top ten fasting growing airports and annuals moves about 40 million passengers. It also serves as the largest hub for United Airlines.

IAH Airport opened in 1969 under the name Houston Intercontinental Airport and at the time all air traffic was moved from William P. Hobby Airport. In 1997 the Houston City Council renamed the airport in honor after the 41st President of the United States.
