Hamburger Heaven was born in 1982, when Jack Caddell (who started Jack's) opened the first restaurant on Highway 78 in Irondale, Alabama. Jack turned the small restaurant into a successful business and ran operations until 1992, when he sold the local landmark to Eli Stevens (who owns another landmark, Lloyd's) Mr. Stevens soon placed Pete Flach at the helm of the flourishing business. Mr. Flach opened a 2nd location in 1997, as demand increased and Birmingham grew south into Shelby County
