In 1977 Rosario and Yolanda Palomarez opened the doors to the original Little Mexico Restaurant on South 6th Avenue, in Tucson, Arizona. Asking their son and his wife to continue the business was something they were not ready to do, and they closed for a while. Then in 1993 George and Pat reopened the business at 698 West Irvington Road along with Rosario and Yolanda Palomarez (George’s parents), and Francisco and Socorro Estrada (Pat’s parents). They expanded eight months later.In April of 2004 Carlos Palomarez, along with his parents George and Pat, and his Grandmother Yolanda, opened Little Mexico Steakhouse at 2851 West Valencia Road. The Steakhouse has a mesquite grill and the same steaks are served here that they make at home for their family.
