Freebirds World Burrito is a burrito joint that specializes in custom hand-rolled burritos, filled with chopped vegetables, rice and beans. The first Freebirds opened in 1987 near the beach in Santa Barbara. Customers stand in line as a team member or "roller" greets them and helps them choose what burrito best suits their craving. There are over 40 ingredients to choose from, including natural, grass-fed beef and chicken, queso and guacamole.
