Owner Julie sold herbs and flowers wholesale, before opening her cafe just south of the main business district on Alameda's Park Street. Dine on soft-boiled, steamed or baked organic eggs as well as granola or European-style yogurt. Choose from a wide selection of coffees and teas or purchase organic teas and herbs from the bulk bins. Julie's specialties include lemon-ginger brew, herbal soda, green tea cooler and lavender lemonade. It also offers organic wine, beer and cocktails and hosts a daily social hour from 4:30pm to 6:30pm with pitcher and platter specials. The wireless signal is strong and Julie's has a huge backyard patio in addition to the couches and tables inside. Community Craft Night is held each Thursday night until 9pm.
