Under new management since February 2010, this coffee shop aspires to be not only a favorite java stop in the Washington Park neighborhood, but also a meeting place for fine arts and live music. It is airy and full of light, with friendly staff. There is the regular selection of late, esspresso, mocha and Americano, made to taste -- stronger or less; Tazo and Stash bagged teas and hot cocoa; and a small selection of cold bottled juices. Muffins (blueberry and bran), as well as couple of different kinds of breads and bagels are delivered daily; chocolate chip cookies and a jar full of biscotti offer accompaniment to the drinks. The sesame bagel (warmed with cream cheese, or not) is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and quite delicious.
