White Lotus Thai Cuisine was opened by the sister of Chef Chai Siriyam, who owns the famous and award-winning San Francisco restaurant Marnee Thai. Cooking is a family tradition, and both Chef Chai and his sister learned how to cook great Thai cuisine from their mother. The restaurant is located on San Pablo Avenue, in the space formerly occupied by Zapp Zapp Noodle House, but the new owners have made some stylish improvements to the spacious dining room. With sky-lit vaulted ceilings and decorative lighting, the room feels light and airy, and diners have plenty of space to enjoy both food and conversation.
