A short walk from the UC campus, Berkeley Thai House serves traditional Thai food with friendly service, in an airy and open atmosphere. Perched on a slope on Channing Way (and accessible by a steep set of stairs), the restaurant is unique in that much of its seating is outdoors, on a large sunny patio, although it does offer indoor seating, too. The menu lists dishes familiar to anyone who has had Thai cuisine (Pad Thai, Pad Woon-Sen, Pad See-Ew) as well as various meat, vegetable, noodle and curry dishes of its own creation. The restaurant has been voted 'Best Thai' by the Daily Californian, and also accepts the Cal1 card (for Berkeley students).
