Longtime Berkeley eatery Bongo Burger has been a favorite of college students and residents looking for a good meal at a reasonable price since 1968. More than your average burger joint, the casual restaurant features Persian and Mediterranean fare in addition to Niman Ranch burgers. Guests can come enjoy a Persian burger (made of seasoned ground lamb) with a side of french fries or a good old "All American Burger" with some fresh tabouleh or falafel on the side. A full breakfast menu is also available, which offers omelets, bacon, sausage and home fries. Bongo Burger uses no trans fat in any of its dishes.
