This Chinese restaurant across from the Pence Gallery is a Davis favorite and a huge hit with the students. Hunan has great lunch specials that run between $5 and $7, which is why you can often find a louder younger crowd during the midday. At night, the atmosphere is subdued, matching the lighting of the restaurant, which at best can be described as romantic. Hunan is unique in the fact that it is the only Chinese restaurant in Davis to have a full bar. The restaurant also offers 10 percent off all take-out items, but it does not deliver.
