The early morning scent of coffee still wafts from the only roaster in downtown Davis, but now the source is a new, improved Mishka's Café.
One block east of the storefront the previous version had inhabited since 1995, Mishka's 2.0 is about the same size as the original and features roughly the same floor plan.
Most of the furnishings came with the move to the brand-new building next to the 1, but the new space has a brighter and airier feel thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows along the north and front walls. The menu of pastries, bagels, granola, chocolates, Double Rainbow ice cream and other treats remains the same, as does the choice of coffee blends and roasts. Be sure to ask about the shop's Fair Trade products.
