Steve's Place Pizza in Davis has been an institution since 1978. The site certainly looks historic, nestled in a pocket of well groomed bushes and trees, with wood-work and a cozy interior. The front is dominated by a large, open air patio, with wood paneling and deck, leading into a short landing, opening into the restaurant. There is a large salad bar on display in front of the counter where you order, next to the counter is another opening where guests are able to watch employees making pizzas. There is a small video arcade near the front, while in the back is a larger seating area, with no booths and a smaller, more private dining room. Overall, the atmosphere is rustic and fun, with plenty of dining options and lunch specials.
