Steamers’ Paninis, delicious hot treats made from focaccia bread stuffed with a choice of cheeses, meats and vegetables, are seasoned and grilled to perfection. Steaming bowls of freshly simmered gumbo are available, as well as the Chef’s soup d’jour. Several meal-sized salads are on the menu, each piled high on the freshest romaine and/or spring greens. For smaller appetites, there are individual gourmet pizzas, including choices topped with barbequed chicken, Italian sausage and peppers, and chicken pesto, plus unique pizzas of the day. And, a favorite on Steamers’ appetizer menu if freshly made hummus with toasted pita bread. Traditional deli sandwiches are also available for lunch and dinner.
