John Kane is the Chef and Owner of Kane's, where you can see him 7 days a week. He is a highly accredited Chef having worked at the University Club in San Francisco, where he was one of five Chefs in it's 118 year history. In addition, John participated in four great years as the San Francisco Giants' Chef. John also served as the President for the Chefs Association of the Pacific Coast and was awarded Chef of the Year in 2003. John followed his heart to Grass Valley when he met Maria, his true love and business partner. Upon moving, John opened Kane's to provide fine dining and an invigorating ambience. Kane's food is served in an open kitchen with a very friendly atmosphere. We serve everything from pasta to pizza. We provide a wide variety of favorites such as hot and cold sandwiches, giant burgers, steaks, chops, roasts, fish, chicken, seafood, etc. In addition, we offer specials all day long!
