A whole new adventure in cafes is now available to residents and visitors to Huntington Beach. In the winter of 2006, Monkey House Café opened its doors under entrepreneurs of Angeli Poon, her daughter, Rochelle and Rochelle’s husband, Dan. The family owned and run operation brings the trio’s complementary career experiences together: Angeli, providing a strong business background in hotel management, digital media advertising, retail and designing, Rochelle, holding a degree in Restaurant Management and Culinary Art from the University of Nevada and Dan, being a restaurateur with years of experience in the food industry. The idea for the café developed out of love and passion for a warm and cozy place for everyone to come and hang out with good coffee, delicious snacks, great foods and of course, Rochelle’s love of monkeys.
