Nalu's Island Grill at Laguna Niguel Marketplace is one of two locations in Orange County (the other Quail Hill, Irvine). The menu specializes in Hawaiian barbecue, offering such island favorites as Kalua pork and cabbage, chargrilled short ribs and Nalu's garlic noodles. Nalu's also serves burgers and pulled pork sandwiches. Hawaii Saimin soup is like a Hawaiian top ramen with portuguese sausage, green onions and topped with a fish cake. Many visitors come just for the Hawaiian shaved iced; a dessert served in plastic cups just as they do in Hawaii. There is a Gremmie menu for kids under 12 that offers healthy options from the adult menu. All entrees are served with steamed rice and macaroni salad.
