Serving Livermore diners since 1986, Hanabishi boasts that it is the only Japanese restaurant in town where the owner and chef are from Japan. Still family-owned and run, Hanabishi takes pride in serving authentic Japanese cuisine. The menu is full of sushi items, prepared fresh at the open sushi bar in the back. There are also lunch and dinner menus featuring traditional Japanese appetizers and entrees, including variations of tempura and teriyaki dishes.  Beer and wine are available, and the prices on entrees are very reasonable.
