Murphy's occupies an interesting upstairs bar room with a patio that overlooks 2nd Street. It's attached to the large structure that houses the Belmont Athletic Club, or "The Belmont" for short. An interior window overlooks the fitness club's raquetball courts. In addition to the live raquetball view, eight big HD televisions highlight the sports-bar-meets-Irish-pub atmosphere. During football season, the bar opens at 9:30am for early games. Beers of many varieties fill the bar's taps and bottle stock, though only brews from around the world and wines are available. Murphy's doesn't serve liquor, but the kitchen does offer a range of pub-style food.
