Pittsburgh Chicken & Subs serves take out broasted chickens, subs and salads. Broasted chicken is similar to fried chicken, except it is deep-fried in a commercial pressure fryer. The restaurant claims that this process produces fried chicken that is 40-70 percent less fattening and 44 percent more moist on the inside. Indoor seating is not available at this location but diners are welcomed to enjoy their meals on the outdoor patio. The restaurant provides a neighborhood mom-and pop atmosphere and a friendly inviting staff.
