"It's history, this building," says Burger Town's owner, Mike, of his decades-old burger-and-milkshake joint on eastbound San Antonio near Lyell Street. Though he believes it will eventually go to make way for an office block, as several San Antonio buildings have done, he jabs at its thick roof shingles with the golf club he habitually carries to show how hard it will be to pull the place down. Until then, Burger Town purveys burgers, fries and the like at very reasonable prices. Shakes and malteds can be made in any number of flavors, in true old-school burger-stand style.
