Adir Restaurant is a subsidiary of Adir International Export. Adir Restaurant owns the franchise for Pollo Campero, a popular chain of Guatemalan fried chicken restaurants in California. Adir International Export operates four La Curacao department stores in downtown Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif. The department stores and chain of restaurants are designed to cater to Hispanics. The department stores sell consumer electronics, as well as furniture, books, music and other merchandise. All merchandise is also shipped to Mexico or Central America. La Curacao sells most of its merchandise on credit to its more than 400,000 customers who carry the La Curacao credit card. The company was founded by a pair of Israeli brothers, Ron and Jerry Azarkman. Adir International Export is based in Los Angeles.
