A major part of our focus at HAYDENLAW has always been consular processing of non-immigrant visas, primarily border processing at U.S. consulates in Mexico or Canada. We also prepare individuals to process their visa applications at U.S. consulates in their own countries, including immigrant visa processing overseas. While we remain active in this area, the practice has expanded into other areas. We now file all kinds of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS ), such as Adjustment of Status applications and Legal Permanent Residence ( LPR ) applications, including labor certification. Although we can never guarantee success, we have a long and enviable approval rate built upon open channels of communication with consular and other government officials, as well as our expertise gained over many years of practice. We keep abreast of all visa policies and procedures that are constantly changing in the post 9/11 environment. With knowledge that comes from more than twenty years of experience, we can anticipate problems before they arise and minimize surprises that may adversely affect an application.
