Italian Express is a casual Italian cafe off the main boulevard in Westwood. Housed in a brick building, the restaurant has a rustic and casual feel. Tables are available inside and in the courtyard. Pizzas come in four sizes and can be customized with toppings or ordered from a selection of specialty pizzas, which include garlic chicken, veggie, meat eater, eggplant delight, Hawaiian delight, BBQ chicken, veggie alfredo, pesto chicken and shrimp. Many types of pasta are available, with choices like classic spaghetti with meatballs, baked homemade lasagna, baked rigatoni, eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti, linguini with clams and shrimp marinara. Baked calzones and pockets are also made to order. Various sandwiches, like turkey breast, tuna, smoked ham, sausage and Philly chicken, can be ordered by themselves or as a combo with French fries and a drink. Lunch specials are available, which include an entree, a trip to the salad bar and a medium drink. Italian Express is one of the few places in the area open for food after the bars close.
