Other Details:
The Little Beast Restaurant came to be because of our desire to have a restaurant on the East Side that rivals the great “foodie” spots that so easily populate Silverlake and to the west. We East Siders want and deserve the same quality of delicious, progressive food that the West Siders have enjoyed for so many years. The Little Beast serves progressive American comfort food. We make seasonal modern cuisine with integrity that is fresh, vibrant, and delicious – served as it’s ready, and meant to be shared. We hope to be known as the sophisticated neighborhood dining spot of the East Side, and strive to be the best Neighborhood Restaurant in Los Angeles. The name “Little Beast” came from our term of endearment for our 10 year old son, Miles. A spitfire of a hockey playing little chef who loves the blues and plays guitar – we felt that his spirit perfectly exemplifies who we are as a restaurant. Chef, Sean Lowenthal got his degree in Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Colorado. He was the Chef at Greenbriar in Boulder before moving to LA in 2010. Until he left to start The Little Beast, Sean was the Sous Chef at Chateau Marmont for the last two years. His wife and partner of The Little Beast, Deborah Schwartz-Lowenthal, is a Photographer’s Agent and owner of DSREPS in Los Angeles and New York City. Together, they look forward to creating the best dining experience to hit the East Side of LA.
