Plan Check was established in 2012 by Terry Heller. The first location opened in West Los Angeles in February of that year and our name originates from the Los Angeles County Department of Building & Safety, which is located a few buildings down from the establishment. Hundreds of Architects, Developers, Designers and Engineers flock daily the Building and Safety Department to get plans reviewed for permitting. Our brand embodies the architectural/creative lifestyle and the culture that surrounds it, effortlessly blending vintage architectural office elements with industrial pieces, rich materials and a warm atmosphere.Plan Check has created a menu inspired by traditional American classics that emphasizes fresh, high quality ingredients. The menu is a la carte, featuring many unique items as well as trademark beverages. Plan Check also offers a diverse and extensive selection of premium beer and spirits from around the world and pays homage to the distinct Asian influence in our neighborhood, Little Osaka, by offering select Japanese beer and whiskey.
