Since 1988, Robert's Cuisine has been feeding Hollywood-area diners out of this small strip mall at La Brea and Hawthorne. The eatery specializes in Russian and Armenian cuisine. Take your meal to go, eat inside or sit at the outside four-table patio. Find well-known Russian dishes like Russian Borscht or Beef Stroganoff or dishes lesser known to Americans like Po Karsky (charbroiled lamb) and Ossetrina Na Vertile (marinated and charbroiled sturgeon). The large alcohol-free drink menu includes sodas, teas and coffees, as well as classic Russian beverages like Kvas, Tarxun and Than. Daily lunch specials are offered noon to 3pm weekdays at about $8. Robert's also provides prepared foods like smoked salmon and spreads to go.
