Spitz founders bryce rademan and robert wicklund began laying the groundwork for their hip los angeles eatery while studying together at occidental collage, located in the eagle rock neighborhood of los angeles.it was during collage that rademan first discovered doner kebab while studying abroad in madrid, spain. sold on virtually every street corner, rademan was so infatuated with it that he began writimg a business plan ahose stated purpose was to bring the mouth-watering cuisine back home with him to los angeles.upon his return he convinced law school- bound wicklund to change course and help him to build the first and only european-style doner kebab restaurant in los angeles.
