Strolling down Santa Cruz Avenue on a hot summer day (or even a not-so-hot day at any other time of year), Cold Stone Creamery is the perfect place for a pit stop. At Cold Stone, you're in complete control of your delicious ice cream. Serving up treats in sizes of "Like It," "Love It," and "Gotta Have It," you start by selecting your favorite flavor (all the classics, plus originals such as cake batter, cotton candy, blueberry, and key lime) and then make it your own by choosing your "mix-ins," adding candy, sprinkles, sauces, brownie bits and/or cookie dough. The friendly staff mixes it all together, and a couple minutes later you've got your sweet to beat the heat. And don't be alarmed if you're looking to cut calories, as they offer frozen yogurt selections and smoothies with supplement boosts (antioxidant, energy and protein).
If you're in a rush, hit the pre-made section. There you'll find quarts of Cold Stone's signatures (Cold Stone's signature flavor and mix-in combinations), ice cream cakes, ice cream cupcakes and ice cream cookie sandwiches. And don't forget to tip! Leave a dollar or more and the employees will sing their gratitude to you.
