Kaygetsu is a restaurant that specializes in Japanese food and sushi. It offers Kaiseki, a tea ceremony where a multiple-course meal is accompanied by tea. The restaurant also offers many gourmet a la carte items, a lunch menu, wine, sake and desserts. The sushi is made with premium handmade seaweed from the Ariake Sea in Japan.

The executive chef was trained in Kyoto, Japan, and the sushi chef and co-owner, Toshi Sakuma, has more than three decades of experience in sushi-making. Sakuma and his wife used to operate Toshi's Sushiya on El Camino before opening Kaygetsu.
