With excellent sushi, good atmosphere, friendly chefs, Dana Kai is a great alternative the other Japanese restaurants in Dana Point. The sushi at Dana Kai is fresh and portions are generous. Orion beer is offered as a nice option to the standard Kirin and Asahi that most sushi bars are limited to. Orion seems to have a softer carbonation and a slightly sweeter taste. Many kinds of sake are available. The is decor upscale and there is a flat screen above the sushi bar for sports lovers. Table seating and a full menu is also available. The staff is polite and service oriented.
