Desco in Old Oakland showcases seasonally fresh, ingredient-driven regional Italian cuisine. The Desco team is headed up by owner and Executive Chef Donato Scotti and Managing Partner and Wine & Spirits Director Eric Lecours. The word Desco translates, in Latin, as dinner table, reflecting the restaurant’s welcoming nature.The menu includes antipasti and pasta dishes such as Piatto della Casa, a housemade assortment of smoked duck, lamb prosciutto and rabbit terrine as well as Casonsei, a rustic ravioli from Bergamo filled with pork and house made sausage with a brown butter and guanciale. All the fresh pasta is made in-house. Not to be missed is Desco’s traditional Neapolitan pizze and schiacciatte prepared in a wood-fired oven.
