Parker Wilson started "Parker's Jumbo Dogs" in the late 1940's in the Santa Cruz area. By 1955, Parker's was well established and was located in Capitola by then. Parker passed away in the 1970's. Parker's son, John Parker, opened the first Parker's in Roseville in 1997, upon his retirement from the Air Force.
