Pan Bon is born from the clear vision of two brothers, Luciano and Giancarlo Anselmi, and their over 30-year experience with the production of Italian bread and pastries using the renowned cooking method with "lievito madre". The Anselmi Brothers" story begins in the city of Verona, Italy, most known for being the inspiration for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Pan Bon which in the Italian dialect from Verona means “good bread” has gained them notoriety throughout Italy’s food industry. Pan Bon in San Diego is a new restaurant concept which incorporates a true Italian bakery, as well as a pastry shop, and gastronomy service (fresh salads, cold cuts, mono-portion food to take out). The idea is to introduce San Diegans to the “take out” gastronomy made in Italy. The unique state of the art show-kitchen concept is aimed to entertain customers with the sizzling rituals of our Italian chefs preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and of course "take out" food for those on the run!
