MaggieMudd is an independent ice cream parlor in San Francisco. No chains, no franchises here. Anytime you stop in, chances are you'll run into one of the owners scooping out an ice cream sundae, or writing Happy Birthday on an ice cream cake for you. Or, even more important to the vision and success of the business, scrubbing floors and taking out trash. ( We all know that this job is far too difficult for anyone who actually gets PAID to work. ) So, the question has come up quite often. Who the heck is Maggie? Many of our customers seem a bit dazed and confused when they find out that there is not a single Maggie who either works at or owns the place, although we've had quite a few customers who are Maggies, and one of these was one actually one of our local neighborhood dogs.
