The “Kevin’s Noodle House” story is a simple one... Dad has always loved cooking with a passion, delighting his family and friends with his traditional Vietnamese dishes. His favorite was and still is “Pho Bo” – Beef Noodle Soup. The aromas of star anise, cardamom, cinnamon, beef, and other wonderful spices, gave the obvious hint that Dad was cooking up beef noodle soup. Family and friends would often praise him about his delicious soups. His dream has always been to open a Vietnamese restaurant and serve dishes from his homeland to please eager diners seeking good Vietnamese cooking.In 1994 with the collaboration of his wife and two sons, Dad’s dream came true. The family opened their first restaurant in Oakland, California: Pho Huynh Hiep, also known as Kevin’s Noodle House. Their philosophy was to “Give customers a taste of delicious authentic Vietnamese food with efficient service in a home style environment."Today, Kevin’s Noodle House is also available in three other locations in the greater bay area, including, San Francisco, Daly City, Concord, and will soon be expanding to Walnut Creek.The family enjoys being able to meet wonderful customers and friends from all walks of life.
