Valerie Look and her husband opened Rice Bowl Express in 1998. They've moved to this current location in the Plaza de Obispo, not from the train station. Their philosophy is to keep the food fresh and affordable. The menu changes with the seasons, but all of the popular rice bowls are constantly on the menu: teriyaki rice bowl with salmon, beef, chicken or vegetables. The shrimp bowl and wonton soup continues to be one of the most-ordered items on the menu.
