Bread & Porridge serves wholesome American food in a relaxed, old-fashioned atmosphere. Customers can always relax on leather sofas near the coffee bar to enjoy a locally roasted brew. Breakfast is served all the time with many pancakes, omelets and scramble dishes to choose from. Crepes are also available, and egg whites can be substituted. An "Early Bird Special" is available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. A dozen large main course salads are available, with ingredients like tuna, wild salmon, chicken, goat cheese and turkey, with several dressings available. The restaurant is known for its BBQ beef brisket, served as a sandwich or plate. The restaurant is also proud of its Prime Beef Burger, Firehouse Chili and Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes with Country Gravy.
