Blackboard Bistro offers fabulous fresh food made from scratch daily. Wonderful breakfasts featuring 3 extra large egg omelettes, eggs benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce, pancakes and waffles. The lunch menu features over 20 sandwiches, as well as juicy burgers and fresh salads. Dinners range from fresh roasted turkey to center cut pork chops. Our wonderful fountain has delicious pies, and handmade old fashioned malts & shakes and scrumptuous sundaes.We are located in the building that formerly housed the Seal Beach schoolhouse. Originally opened in 1915 under the name "Bay City Grammar School", the school was destroyed by the 1933 Long Beach earthquake. It was reopened in 1934, and re-named in honour of Mary E. Zoeter, a long-time member of the Seal Beach board of trustees.
