Jinky's Cafe and Java Lounge occupies a storefront space on Ventura Boulevard at the intersection with Stansbury Avenue. There's plenty of signage visible from Ventura, but the entrance faces Stansbury. It's a popular neighborhood spot that touts itself as being "better than breakfast in bed." Breakfasts are a hit here, with dishes like the chili jumble, steak and egg burrito, the Italian egg sandwich and huevos rancheros. Jinky's serves lunch and dinner too. At those times, the chili offerings remain popular, and additional options include burgers and sandwiches, salads, pastas and globe-spanning entrees, from Mexicali fajitas to Bangkok fish curry.
