That is what Lorene Reed of Planet Organics strives to offer all Sonoma County and Bay Area residents. In 1997 when Reed and former business-partner Larry Bearg "became parents and learned that pesticides negatively impact young children far more than adults," they decided to start a business that would make it easier for families to choose healthy, organic food. The original location of the business was San Francisco, but now this Sonoma office is their headquarters.
Not just organic, Reed focuses on sourcing from local and small scale producers. Planet Organics has teamed up with Debbie Does Dinner to bring customers the option of prepared meals along with produce, eggs, dairy, meat, fish, groceris, beer & wine, frozen items and snack foods.
