A landmark of South San Francisco, Little Lucca Sandwich Shop & Deli has been serving sandwiches and subs since 1980. With its reputation for huge portions and quality fresh meats and breads, Little Lucca has gained a following beyond the local crowds. Hungry customers come from up and down the peninsula to feast on either cold or toasted sandwiches laced with either the famous Hot Pepper Sauce or the signature Original Garlic Sauce. While the interior is small (housing only the service counter, a soda fridge and an ATM in the customer area) it is not uncommon to find a line extending out the door. Get there early to grab one of two large outdoor picnic tables.
Little Lucca also offers catering service, including meat and cheese platters and eight-foot subs.
