Other Details:
The Celts were an ancient people of northwestern Europe not just from one country as is widely perceived. At one time, over 2000 years ago, they lived all over Britain, Ireland, France and parts of Spain and Germany. Around 400 BC they even crossed into Italy and attacked Rome. The Celts were tall, fair and warlike. They lived in tribes made up of a Chief, nobles, free men and slaves. These tribes often fought against each other and were excellent metal workers who decorated their weapons and armor with bright intricate designs and curious creatures. The culture was rich in art, music and poetry. The celtic religion was known as Druidism. When the armies of the Roman Empire spread through Europe, many Celts fled to remote regions. It was only in the far corners of Europe that their language and way of life survived.
