The largest day spa in New Haven county, By the Sea Inn & Spa moved into a 19th century colonial on Montowese Street in the summer of 1999. The award-winning spa features nine treatment rooms, private rooms for waxing and makeup applications, and a glass-enclosed sun porch for manicures and pedicures.
The bed and breakfast inn has three rooms: The Queen Ann, The Garden and The Cottage. By the Sea offers specials that combine the inn and spa, such as a one-night stay with a Swedish massage the next morning.
