The New Haven Country Club is one of the country's oldest golf clubs, dating back to the turn of the 20th century. The golf course, designed by a championship golfer, has hosted a number of tournaments, including Connecticut Open Championships, the New England Amateur, countless USGA and CSGA qualifiers and the Women's Western Championship, a significant national amateur competition. The club also can be rented for wedding receptions and banquets.
