Bar Bouchée captured the hearts and culinary imaginations of local residents when it opened in 2010, thanks to its French cuisine and carefully curated selection of wines and cheeses. Owner Jean Pierre Vuillermet lived in Madison for 10 years. He knows what residents like, and he is well  known for his success at New Haven-based Union League Cafe.

Interested in checking out the food, wine, and the scene at Bar Bouchée? Plan ahead - you'll need reservations. Most nights will find the dining room full and the cozy bar area packed with people wearing hopeful expressions on their faces.

As of June 2012, Bar Bouchée is open for lunch as well during the summer, 11.30-2.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Dinner hours remain the same, seven days a week.
