The Scorpion Bar was opened at Foxwoods in 2009 by the owners of Shrine. The interior has dark wood walls and elaborate metalwork in front of the window alcoves. Large, twisted wooden decorations add to the bar's otherworldly feeling.

The menu includes Mexican classics such as burritos and enchiladas quesadillas, in addition to the Carne Asada steak and Diablo burger. A $23 Mexican Pupu Platter includes yucca fries, nachos and flautas. 

The extensive selection of spirits is stacked behind the bar against a colorful, glowing background. While the bar serves cocktails, its specialty is tequila and there are 120 different varieties available. Thursday's "True Religion Industry Night" features drink specials and a DJ.
